Overview
Microsoft has several Certification Programmes. The MCSE certifications (Server Infrastructure, Desktop Infrastructure, Private Cloud, Data Platform, Business Intelligence, Messaging, Communication and SharePoint) are all based on a separate subject or software and once completed will make you an expert on the subject.
Each MCSE programme is based on a specific subject or software and has you gain all of the necessary qualifications and attend all of the necessary training in order to make you an expert on it. Only once you have completed all of the necessary exams, will you gain the official title.
The certifications are excellent additions to an IT professional’s CV and their reputation of being the highest quality has resulted in them becoming very popular for employers looking for all manner of IT positions.

What qualifications are involved?
In order to obtain the MCSE Certifications, candidates must complete all 5 exams that are each linked to a particular training course. Although the training is optional, it is strongly recommended you attend them to ensure you are fully prepared for the exams. The 5 training courses for each Certification are on the diagram below. Click on it to enlarge.
How do I become accredited?
The 5 exams from these courses must be completed. As previously mentioned, only the exams are required however the training is usually recommended in order to pass these exams. The training courses are all 5 day courses and will often require extra study outside of the classroom. Normally you are able to sit the exam separately if it is more convenient. You are also required to take a re-certification exam every 3 years to prove your continued abilities in the subject.
