Charity bargain hunt

On the hunt for a bargain

With our offices based near several well-known antique centres in the local area we decided to have a little fun all in the spirit of charity. So off we went on a little bargain hunt for some antiques to auction, fundraising for Different Strokes and the Mental Health Foundation.

Both amazing causes chosen by the team, here’s how they help those in need:

Different Strokes is a charity that aims to promote independent stroke recovery and help younger stroke survivors reclaim their lives.

The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health. With prevention at the heart of what they do, they aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.

We searched and negotiated for some amazing finds that we’ll put to auction for such incredible charities. With bulldog money boxes, rare 1920’s pottery, much wanted star wars memorabilia and extremely on-trend time pieces watch this space for our first dabble at auction!

Triathlon training for the Mental Health Foundation

It’s also well worth mentioning that James, our Learning Sourcing Executive is currently training for a triathlon to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation too.

Taking place on the 17th August with targets for distances to acheive, what a challenge this is for such a worthwhile cause.

You can support James via his justgiving page.

We’ve two new Mental Health First Aiders

Congratulations also to two of our managers Vicky and Laura in achieving their MHFA Mental Health First Aider qualification.

They did this by attending four virtual sessions – covering some hard hitting topics such as depression, suicide as well as learning new processes such as ALGEE to support people in need.
